Greener Leith A-Z > W is for... > We Love Leith
The We Love Leith project operated over a period of 26 months, between February 1st 2009 and March 31st 2011.
The project, which was funded by the Scottish Government Climate Challenge Fund, set an ambitious carbon reduction target. It aimed to drive a 15% reduction in the transport related carbon footprint in the Leith Neighbourhood Partnership area.
The project was evaluated by independent research consultancy SISTECH. You can read their final report here:
We also produced an additional analysis which adds more demographic detail on the outcomes and makes some observations over what worked, and what did not work.
We also produced a training booklet for our active travel champions. Although it is tailored for use in Leith, its contents will be of interest to a wider audience:
