Frequently Asked Questions > Our Organisation > What does Greener Leith aim to do?
Greener Leith is an independent, non-profit organisation that was set-up entirely by local residents. It continues to be run by people from Leith. Anyone can join, and we have no party political or religious affiliations.
We aim to help make Leith a Greener neighbourhood in every sense. Whilst we originally formed to focus on improving parks and public spaces, we've been involved in a range of projects since then that tackle issues as broad as local economic development, waste, litter, biodiversity, conservation, food, gardening, allotments, planning, transport, community participation in decision making and climate change.
You can read more about what we do here:

If you like what we do, please consider joining Greener Leith too.
