Greener Leith is looking for volunteers

In our quest to make Leith a greener place we are now looking for people who can spare some time each month to help consolidate and develop our organisation.  We would be delighted for anyone with good ideas, enthusiasm and drive to join us in this task but we would be particularly happy to find individuals capable of taking on the following tasks:

  • Person with IT skills to help us to manage our member database. We also need people who have the resources to produce podcasts, and short video's and the like. Greener Leith wants to do more with 'social media'.
  • Person with communications/Public relations skills to raise awareness of Greener Leith.
  • Person with graphic design skills to help us design posters, logos and graphics.

We'd also love to hear from people who'd like to help us develop specific projects such as:

  • Development of phase two of our Greener Leith 'smart shopping' campaign.
  • Development of community gardens projects in leith - Persevere community garden and/or Leith Links.
  • Development of 'siege of leith' heritage project in Pilrig Park.
  • Development of 'berry hedge' project in Pilrig Park.
  • Development of 'Portobello-Leith Links' cycle path campaign.

If you feel you have something to contribute, don’t hesitate to contact us for a friendly chat. We're always looking for new ideas, and projects, so if you feel that you would like to do something that we haven't mentioned in this post then please let us know, as we'd still like to hear from you.
