And the Fountains Shall Flow With Chocolate...
July 7, 2008 by
Ally Greener Leith is in favour of anything that combines extravagant chocolate use with the great outdoors, so we were most pleased to hear the details of a 'Summer Day' event that the Friends of Montgomery Park are planning for the 16th of August. The event isn't your typical parks fun day, as the group have been really successful at getting local businesses involved in the event. The event will feature:
- Kids pavement art competition and paper flower making workshop, hosted by Eero & Riley.
- A BBQ run by local cafe Renroc.
- Wine Tasting by Cornelius Wine and Beer.
- Music and entertainment by local groups.
- A prize draw where you could win unique toys donated by Eero & Riley.
....and a chocolate fountain by a local chocolate maker!
Sounds great doesn't it? It's really encouraging to see local independent businesses supporting the community like this. The organisers of the event tell us there are still stalls available at the event if any other businesses or organisations wish to get stuck in. The stalls cost £50, which gets you tables chairs, gazebo and insurance cover.
