Free bike maintenance at Out of The Blue

Rather than organise a dedicated We Love Leith bike ride in December, we thought we'd do better to join forces with SPOKES - as they're organising a special 20 mile ride on December the 6th. The ride aims to demonstrate to the politicians from around the world who are attending the Copenhagen Climate Change Summit "the capacity and willingness of ordinary people to take action against dangerous climate change."
It's not just cyclists in Edinburgh who are doing this. There are rides planned all over the world.
To join in with this ride, meet at 10am outside the Usher Hall on Lothian Road. Now, we know this isn't in Leith, but the ride will stop off at Out of The Blue for Lunch, at 12.30pm where there'll be some "speeches and some stalls."
As part of our We Love Leith campaign, we've agreed to fund a free Dr Bike Maintenance session at Out of the Blue. If you feel that 20 miles might be a bit too far, then you don't need to take part with the whole SPOKES ride to get yourself some free bike love from the Dr Bike team. If you live in Leith, and you're bike could do with a bit of TLC, feel free to just turn up at Out of The Blue about 12.30pm to get it fixed for free.
We know that lots of people stop cycling when something goes wrong with their bikes, so we hope this chance to get your bike fixed for free will inspire lots of Leithers to get back in the saddle on a more regular basis.
PS. If you want to have a hot lunch at Out of The Blue, it'll cost £6.50, and it needs to be booked in advance. More information on how to book here:

And if cycling is not your thing, don't forget that the November 'Leith Walk' is scheduled for the 29th. More information here.
