Get Kitchen Canny and save yourself £450
December 11, 2009 by
Ally This week we held our festive gathering. We had a couple of speakers, including Rosie Lewis, from Changeworks, who ran an interesting workshop to introduce the Kitchen Canny project - a project that aims to help people cut their food waste. Rosie was full of facts and certainly gave us food for thought...Did you know how much beer Scottish people throw away each year? We didn't until Rosie told us!
We filmed the session, and we've posted it to our YouTube channel so you can find out for yourself what you can do to help cut the staggering amount of food we waste in Scotland. We had to split it into two parts as it lasts about 16 minutes in total, and You Tube doesn't like video clips longer than 10 minutes.
If you've already switched to energy saving lightbulbs, and made your We Love Leith pledge, then perhaps the Kitchen Canny challenge could be a good green New Year resolution for your household? To get your free kit, you can register on-line, or just drop in to our office at 36, Newhaven Road.
