Leith Saved! (Or is it?)

Perhaps it was the folk song? Or the petition? Or the Facebook group? Or even our joint submission to the planning authorities. Either way, a massive popular movement, combined with 'firm diplomacy' from our politicians has  persuaded Forth Ports to drop the proposed 'Edinburgh Harbour' name. Instead the development will be called "The Harbour, Leith Docks."

We can't help but worry however, if Leithers may have won the battle but not the war - for want of a better phrase. If Forth Ports don't now build a development of world class standards, will Leithers want to have the name of their neighbourhood attached to it?
