Spring Cleaning Leith
March 31, 2010 by
Ally If it's April then it must be national spring clean month. This year Leithers have been more active than ever in helping to clear up their parks. Already, there have been clean-ups organised by the Friends of Lochend Park, the Friends of Montgomery Street Park, and last weeked there was a clean-up of the traffic free paths around Bangholm Outdoor Centre. Greener Leith is helping to organise three further community clean-up events over April, and we're keen to get as many volunteers along as we possibly can.
No specialist skills are needed, all equipment is provided on the day, and most people find that it's a surprisingly satisfying way to spend a couple of hours.
The map below shows which areas are being cleaned, and the green markers show the meeting points. If you click on the green markers you can find out the date, and when to meet. More information on these events and many other available at www.greenerleith.org/events

Greener Leith would like to thank the Water of Leith Conservation Trust, Leith Links Community Council and The City of Edinburgh Council for their role in supporting the above clean-up events too.
