Real submissions wanted for Leith Festival exhibition
May 25, 2010 by
Ally Well the countdown has started for Leith Festival, and one exhibition taking place in the festival is "The Reality of My Leith" - and your work could feature in it!
Here's the brief:
"The theme of the exhibition is “The Reality of My Leith” and this is an invitation to submit creative and original work on how you would capture your personal views or associations with Leith in a snapshot. These could be a favourite memory, a special place, someone important or even a secret!
We would like you to submit your work on recycled material. It could be old scrap paper, the back of a cereal packet or whatever you can find. Outstanding work from all entries will be displayed during the Leith Festival at the Art’s Complex, St Margaret’s House, 151 London Road, EH7 6AE."
Specifications:
"Consider the theme wide open for interpretation. The more original your response, the better. We would like to receive paintings, drawings, photography, poems and graphic design. All work submitted must be 2D, on a recycled packaging (such as cereal box, clean food packaging) no bigger than A5 size (210mm x 148mm)."
