The Changeworks Food project, Kitchen Canny, is going from strength to strength, with loads more people taking part. It's not too late to get hold of your Kitchen Canny kit that will help you save cash and eat better. Indeed, now you can pick them up from any of the places on the map above. Here's a quote from one Leith resident who's already completed the 4 week challenge:
"The Kitchen Canny activities really made me think about how much oil is involved in transporting food from the field to the factory, creating packaging, transporting it to the shop and then to my flat. After all that effort it’s clear it’s a huge waste of energy and money to throw any food away.
We took part in the 4 week Kitchen Canny challenge and it’s helped our household to throw away almost no food. My top tip is to cook veg that’s about to go off and freeze it to eat another time. I listen to Leith FM while I’m cooking!"
