Friends of Dalmeny Street Park are offering a fantastic opportunity for local people to get involved in building planters that will go in the park. Volunteers will be offered the chance to work with Greame Murray, a local sculptor and teacher as well as other professional woodworkers from the Woodschool, near Jedburgh.

Looks like a great way to pick up some wood working skills from the experts. Places are limited, so if you're interested you should download the flyer here.

How To Make The Perfect Park?

| Comments Off |

There's a training seminar organised by GreenSpace Scotland on the 13th of November called 'How to Make The Perfect Park.' This might be interesting for anyone in Leith who is involved in developing Green Spaces. It's based around the 'Placemaking' work of the New York based group, Project for Public Space (It's worth checking their website out). Sadly, there is a cost involved.

However, at the next Greener Leith meeting we will discuss whether we can get funding together to send a few people if anyone wants to go.
